Web28 gen 2012 · I think of it this way...the stock tie-rod bends when you bump a curb with 30s. the V8 ZJ tie-rod is a good cheap upgrade from stock, and if you can bend that or the drag-link while wheeling, then you probably should get the standard Currie kit. If you bend the Currie tie-rod a few times, then you should get the Savvy tie-rod that won't bend ...
Web19 lug 2010 · Jeep ZJ Steering - The XJ and ZJ have the same draglink. The V8 ZJ's had a beefier tierod that can be used in place of the stock XJ tierod. With either the Currie or the ZJ setup you still can have all the problems associated with the inverted "Y" steering. At 6.5" lift the Currie would be the better of the two.
