The fact that so many people work in accounting confirms the fact its not rocket science. Just look at the number of people with CPAs. Oh, and management accounting sucks. Financial accounting is much easier. WebIt really depends on your institution and role, honestly. For me, I have weeks where it feels like a part-time job, but periods with multiple deadlines have required me to work long hours and even weekends. I think and hope that is rare, though.
