My guess is that you copied the string from somewhere, and that when you pasted it, you got some characters that looked like regular quotes, but weren't. Try retyping the command; you'll only get valid characters from your keyboard. The script works fine otherwise, and I was hoping that cURL would just interpret [08-08] as if it were plain 08. Anyway the problem seems to be that curl understands your request as multiple command-line parameters rather than a request string for -D.
