WebI called in to Chase a few months ago, with a FICO in the 730 range, asked for a credit limit increase so I could do a balance transfer, and I was denied. It was a hard pull, too. My credit limit on that card is $3,800, I wanted to transfer about $5k. So to answer the OP's question, I would say that Chase tends to be very difficult.
