You don't need any fancy CUSTOM pistons at all, unless you want the piston's dish to be like mine. My pistons are special request from CP; 9.0:1CR, WRX 2.0L compression height, long piston skirt, EJ22T dish style, 3.815" bore for 2.2L. Your EJ253 crank is fine.

Those are more important. IIRC the BC 272's don't have as much lift as the 264 which flow more. There's more to it than a larger number.
